Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I visited Chaang Caffe in Melaka and loved the cozy, laid-back vibe. The café is clean, welcoming, and great for relaxing or catching up with friends. I tried the Mochi Burnt cheese Cake ,Chocolate Frappuccino, Thai aloe vera honey , smoke duck don and lemon herbs chicken spaghetti — all tasty and well-portioned. Staff were friendly and attentive. While I didn’t see an official halal certificate, it’s a nice Muslim-friendly spot for a casual meal."
"I highly recommend the chicken chop, fish n chips, and creamy mushroom pasta. Everything is seasoned really well and the portion is decent for the price. You can also add pasta for +RM3 if you're a big eater (last pic). Tried their cheesy wedges and it was DROWNED in cheese sauce. For the first time in my life I'd say that there was too much cheese sauce lol. Still finished it tho, the wedges were crispy on the outside but soft in the middle. They recently implemented QR ordering which still needs to improve, but other than that the food, coffee, and atmosphere is good! The shop has 2 floors, and the 2nd floor doesn't have AC. The sandwiches and wraps are just okay. Mini croissant is pretty good. Coffee is good, they use double shot unless you're ordering from the set menu."
"I recently visited Chaang Cafe that is located in Malim, Malacca. I’m Malaccan, but this is the first time I came here for dining experience. To my surprise, the area is very convenient, with parking available outside. The ambience of the cafe is cozy and peaceful. Besides, the cafe’s appearance is in a wooden style, which I liked so much. I ordered Teriyaki Chicken Don and it cost RM16.90. It was a bit expensive, but the taste of the food is awesome! I also ordered tiramisu for dessert. It was soft and had a lovely coffee aroma. It was the perfect way to end my meal. The service was great as well. I really enjoyed my time here and will definitely visit again."
"To start with, QR code ordering should have an option to order as Guest and not forced entry of customer info (name, no, etc)to complete , then only can proceed to order. For a hungry patron, that really sucks Food was decent, burger was good. Chicken chop abit salty but it came ok"
"They offer a variety of food such as western dishes, spaghetti, fried rice, don, chinese meals and salads, but each category only has a few selections. The grilled chicken chop was not bad, and the price is consider reasonable in Malacca. Their coffee tiramisu is quite nice, but I didn’t like the finger biscuits with cream on top, it kind of spoils the drink itself."
"the food was delicious, i ordered the fish & chips, grilled chicken chop & cheesy wedges. the sauce is great! i really liked it. the tiramisu? ummm.. im not really a big fan of coffee but decided to give it a try, so i give it a solid 6. good, but it’s just not my cup of tea. overall, the experience, i rate it 9/10. its very cozy, i love the ambience of it, the staff also seems friendly.. might come here again in the future, i guess!"
"Came during a cathering.. Foods quite nice. I recommend the dons and spaghettis. There different variety of drinks, and not just the foods. Service are ok. Staffs are polite. Atmosphere are chill, both upstairs and downstairs. Overall, a nice place to chill n relax"
"Came here for dinner. Not crowded. Ordered chicken bolognaise spaghetti and pineapple fried rice. Good taste and portions ok. The Thai coffee tea mix was good. Unique taste and aroma of Thai coffee."
